Job summary

Telum is seeking a hands-on Trades Assistant to join the workshop team of a leading Australian precast concrete products supplier in Sydney. The role offers consistent full-time hours, an indoor workshop environment, and the opportunity to build mechanical skills while supporting a maintenance team.

You will grease machinery, assist with boiler-related work, support tradespeople with repairs, and perform routine checks using hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in a factory, workshop or industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and mechanical components.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Greasing machinery and hydraulic components.
• Assisting with boiler-related work.
• Supporting fitters with repairs, maintenance and breakdowns.
• Carrying out routine machinery and equipment checks.
• Using hand and power tools for general maintenance tasks.
• Helping keep plant and equipment running safely and efficiently.
