Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in switchboard or control panel building, including wiring, cable termination, and assembly to Australian standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety practices, WHS requirements, and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance, testing, and fault-finding in switchboards and related equipment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a workshop environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Current driver's license and the right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test commercial and industrial switchboards and control panels in accordance with electrical standards and project specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and documentation for builds.
• Mount components, terminate cables, and perform quality checks on completed assemblies.
• Collaborate with electricians and workshop staff to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a safe and tidy workspace and report issues or hazards.
