Job summary

GEM Switchboards in West Gosford is seeking a practical, hands-on person to join our manufacturing team, with tasks building LV switchboards, assembling components, reading drawings, using hand and power tools. The role offers a 4 day week, Monday–Thursday, 6:30am–4:30pm with overtime.

Experience in electrical assembly or fitting is desirable; an electrical qualification is desirable but not essential. You’ll work as part of a team to meet production deadlines, learn from experienced

Qualifications

• Experience in switchboard building or electrical assembly is desirable.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings or schematics.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble LV switchboards
• Install electrical components and equipment
• Busbar installation and assembly
• Electrical wiring and termination
• Read electrical drawings and schematics
• Measure, drill and prepare switchboard enclosures
