Job summary

Skilled Jobs Australia is seeking full-time Service Technicians in NSW to service, maintain and repair compressed air systems, generators and related equipment across various industries in Australia. The role involves diagnostics, calibration, installation and preventative maintenance in a team environment in Smithfield/NSW.

Applicants should have AQF Certificate III with 2+ years on-the-job training, be physically fit and able to work under pressure; a 80,000–90,000 AUD per year salary plus

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training; up to three years of experience may substitute.
• Strong organisational skills and a can-do attitude.
• Experience in small to medium teams with highly task-oriented engineering work.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, modify, maintain, repair, install and commission compressed air systems and associated equipment to minimise downtime.
• Service and repair rotary screw, piston, portable compressors and related equipment.
• Install, inspect, maintain and test instrumentation and automated control systems.
• Test, calibrate and verify sensors, transmitters, gauges and monitoring devices.
• Diagnose faults in controllers and monitoring systems.
• Configure controller settings and alarms per manufacturer specifications.
• Study drawings to determine material and operation sequence.
• Service diesel and petrol generators and related equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs.
• Dismantle and reassemble engines and parts; test repaired parts for proper performance.
• Use computers and specialized tools to diagnose faults.
• Follow OHS protocols.
