Job summary

Bene Aged Care is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a part-time basis (18 hours per week). You will provide trusted industrial relations advice to leaders and managers, navigating legislation, awards and enterprise agreements with clarity and integrity.

Reporting to the Manager People & Culture, you will help shape policies, support dispute resolution, and lead negotiations, while delivering coaching to managers on employment

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Law or related discipline.
• Current National Police Check.
• Drivers licence.
• Experience managing industrial relations in a complex organisation.
• Proven experience negotiating Enterprise Agreements.
• Strong knowledge of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements (SCHADS, Aged Care, Nurses).

Responsibilities

• Provide IR advice on legislation, awards and enterprise agreements to managers.
• Interpret employment laws and policies and support dispute resolution.
• Lead and support enterprise agreement negotiations and restructures.
• Develop and enhance IR policies and frameworks for compliance.
• Coach managers on workplace relations and employment obligations.

About Your Role

As our Industrial Relations Advisor, you will partner with leaders, managers and the People & Culture team to navigate workplace relations matters with confidence, consistency and integrity.

You will play a key role in interpreting and applying employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and organisational policies, while supporting effective dispute resolution, enterprise bargaining and organisational change.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide industrial relations advice on employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, employment conditions and workplace policies to our managers and supervisors
• Advise on and manage workplace relations matters, including grievances, investigations, disciplinary processes, terminations and employment disputes
• Support the management of industrial disputes, Fair Work Commission applications and other employment‑related proceedings
• Lead and support Enterprise Agreement negotiations, employee consultation, organisational restructures and broader workforce relations initiatives
• Develop and enhance industrial relations policies, procedures and frameworks to promote compliance and best practice
• Provide guidance, coaching and education to managers and leaders on workplace relations matters and their employment obligations

What You’ll Bring

• A tertiary qualification in Law or related discipline
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Drivers licence
• Demonstrated experience managing industrial relations matters in a complex, multi‑faceted or regulated organisation
• Proven experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiations, including planning, consultation and stakeholder engagement
• Strong knowledge of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements, particularly the SCHADS Award, Aged Care Award and Nurses Award.
