Job summary

Bene Aged Care in Adelaide is looking for an experienced Industrial Relations Advisor to join the People & Culture team on a part-time basis. You will provide trusted industrial relations guidance to managers and leaders, helping navigate workplace relations with confidence and integrity.

You will interpret employment legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements, support dispute resolution, bargaining and organisational change, and develop practical policies.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Law or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing industrial relations matters in a complex organisation.
• Proven experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements (SCHADS Award, Aged Care Award, Nurses Award).

Responsibilities

• Provide industrial relations advice on employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and workplace policies to managers and supervisors.
• Advise on and manage workplace relations matters, including grievances, investigations, disciplinary processes, terminations and disputes.
• Support the management of industrial disputes, Fair Work Commission applications and other employment-related proceedings.
• Lead and support Enterprise Agreement negotiations, employee consultation, restructures and broader workforce relations initiatives.
• Develop and enhance industrial relations policies, procedures and frameworks to promote compliance and best practice.

About Your Role

As our Industrial Relations Advisor, you will partner with leaders, managers and the People & Culture team to navigate workplace relations matters with confidence, consistency and integrity.

You will play a key role in interpreting and applying employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and organisational policies, while supporting effective dispute resolution, enterprise bargaining and organisational change.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide industrial relations advice on employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, employment conditions and workplace policies to our managers and supervisors
• Advise on and manage workplace relations matters, including grievances, investigations, disciplinary processes, terminations and employment disputes
• Support the management of industrial disputes, Fair Work Commission applications and other employment‑related proceedings
• Lead and support Enterprise Agreement negotiations, employee consultation, organisational restructures and broader workforce relations initiatives
• Develop and enhance industrial relations policies, procedures and frameworks to promote compliance and best practice
• Provide guidance, coaching and education to managers and leaders on workplace relations matters and their employment obligations

What You’ll Bring

• A tertiary qualification in Law or related discipline
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Drivers licence
• Demonstrated experience managing industrial relations matters in a complex, multi‑faceted or regulated organisation
• Proven experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiations, including planning, consultation and stakeholder engagement
• Strong knowledge of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements, particularly the SCHADS Award, Aged Care Award and Nurses Award.
