Qualifikationen

• Recognised trade qualification in Fitting and Turning or an equivalent mechanical trade qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in heavy industry, industrial workshops or site-based environments.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical fitting and industrial maintenance.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, machinery and fluid power systems.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Proven mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Competence using mechanical tools, machinery and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate and verify prior trade experience and technical capability.
• Willingness to work across workshop and client-site environments within Western Australia.

Aufgaben

• Carry out mechanical fitting, assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
• Work on fixed plant, mobile equipment and mechanical systems across workshop and client-site environments.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Select materials, tools, equipment and methods for mechanical tasks.
• Complete equipment refurbishment, overhaul and rebuild activities.
• Inspect mechanical components and identify wear, damage, defects and maintenance issues.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment and component fit.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and conduct systematic fault-finding on industrial machinery.
