Job summary

Workfast is actively seeking qualified Electricians to join our team for maintenance work on Water Treatment Plants across Sydney South & Eastern Suburbs. You will perform preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on treatment equipment and plant machinery, ensuring safe operation and high reliability.

Ideal candidates hold a NSW Electrical Licence, CPR/LVR, White Card, and experience with PLC/SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Industrial/Maintenance Electrician
• Current NSW Electrical Licence
• Certificate in Electrotechnology OR Engineering (Electrical)
• Current CPR / LVR certification
• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• White Card (Construction Induction Card) - mandatory
• Working at Heights - MUST
• Confined Spaces - MUST
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, SCADA and telemetry systems is highly advantageous
• Valid Australian work rights
• Strong understanding of site safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on water treatment equipment and plant machinery
• Fault find, repair, and maintain electric motors, pumps, VSDs, control panels, and instrumentation
• Isolate, test, and commission electrical systems and switchboards safely
• Support daily operations and collaborate with mechanical fitters to ensure smooth functionality of the treatment plant
• Participate in site toolbox talks and maintain strict electrical safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices
