Job summary

WaterNSW is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Electrician to maintain and optimise automation, telemetry, communications, and electrical infrastructure across the North-Western NSW region. The role ensures reliable delivery of bulk water, with hybrid work options and a supportive environment.

The position requires hands-on experience with PLCs, instrumentation, and field controllers, plus a NSW driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical Supervisor Certificate and Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
• Experience in heavy industry or utilities with PLCs.
• Hands-on field operations and maintenance of instrumentation and controls.

Responsibilities

• Asset Management: Ensure accurate and efficient implementation, configuration, and maintenance of field-based instrumentation and control systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and resolve electrical and automated system faults to minimise downtime.
• Data Capture: Capture and store data for maintenance management and related service systems.
• Corrective Maintenance: Plan, procure, and manage instrumentation and controls maintenance projects.
• Procurement: Ensure procurement complies with WaterNSW policies and guidelines.
