Job summary

Tassal Group is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for our Proserpine processing facility to keep electrical systems running safely and reliably. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and join a skilled team on an on-site basis, contributing to efficient operations and regulatory compliance.

The role involves a Monday–Friday roster with potential weekend work and an on-call component. A proactive mindset, safe work practices, and the ability to work both independently and with a team are

Qualifications

• Previous industrial electrical experience.
• Exposure to PLC and SCADA systems (desirable).
• Willingness to participate in shift cover, weekends and overtime as required.
• A safe, driven, reliable, and can-do attitude, with a commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and test, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, components, and systems.
• Work with PLC and SCADA-based systems, network cabling (fibre and copper), variable speed drives, large generators, LV power distribution, and instrumentation.
• Interpret electrical schematics to ensure effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
• Uphold safety standards and contribute to Zero Harm culture.
