Job summary
Simplot Ulverstone is hiring a Maintenance Electrician for a permanent, day-shift role. You will work Monday to Friday (0700–1530), with options for a 4-day week, performing electrical maintenance on fixed-plant equipment in a world-class food manufacturing environment.
Applicants must hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and a Tasmanian Electrical Practitioner Licence. Industrial maintenance experience and PLC/SCADA familiarity are highly valued at this site in Tasmania.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology and a Tasmanian Electrical Practitioner Licence.
- Instrumentation & Control qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Industrial maintenance experience is highly regarded and diagnostic skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Identify faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
- Inspect and maintain machinery across production areas and facilities.
- Perform preventative maintenance per schedules and safety procedures.
- Work with PLC/SCADA systems for diagnostics and commissioning.
- Update work orders and asset history using CMMS.
