Job summary

Superior Pak is seeking an experienced Industrial (Automotive) Spray Painter for our Bundaberg manufacturing facility. The role focuses on delivering high-quality paint finishes on our waste-management equipment, with duties covering surface preparation, priming, coating and finishing.

The ideal candidate can work autonomously and in a team, shows attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and standard work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by blasting, washing or brushing to remove grease, dirt and rust.
• Mix and match paint for colour accuracy.
• Apply filler, primer, top coat and clear coat using airless and spray guns.
• Fill imperfections and dents to achieve a smooth finish.
• Touch up paintwork and apply polish to equipment.
• Mask areas not to be painted.

We are now seeking experienced Industrial (Automotive) Spray Painter to join the team at our manufacturing facility in Bundaberg.

About the Role

Our Painters provide a superior quality paint finish on our world class equipment. Duties include:

• Preparing surfaces to be coated by using various methods (by hand or machine), including but not limited to abrasive blasting, high pressure water washing or power wire brushing, to remove grease, dirt and rust.
• Mixing and matching paint to ensure correct colour match.
• Applying body filler, primer, primer filler, top coat and clear coat using both airless systems and hand held pot spray guns.
• Filling imperfections and dents to obtain the desired surface finish.
• Touching up paintwork and apply polish to vehicles.
• Masking areas that are not to be painted.
