Job summary

Melton City Council is seeking a motivated Facilities Service & Support Officer to help activate indoor stadiums and deliver inclusive recreation programs in Long Forest, VIC. This fixed-term full-time role runs from October 2026 to February 2027 and supports health and wellbeing across the municipality.

You will provide excellent customer service, manage bookings, maintain databases, and assist with daily Leisure Centres operations under the Coordinator Leisure Centres.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary qualifications with on-the-job training or lesser qualification with experience in high-level customer service.
• Experience in maintaining administrative systems and word processing duties.
• Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate information about Leisure Centre programs, events, services, and facilities to both internal and external customers.
• Provide administrative support to the Leisure Centres team, including collecting and mailing of correspondence, dealing with customer enquiries, maintaining databases and registers, completing relevant reports and taking cash sales.
• Act as a liaison and interface with the range of community and Council users of the Indoor Stadiums.
• Take booking enquiries for hireable space within the Indoor Stadiums, maintain booking procedures and booking systems.
• Support the Coordinator Leisure Centres to maintain systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operations of Indoor Stadiums.
• Under the direction of the Coordinator Leisure Centres, undertake all 'day to day' activities within Council Policy and Procedures in the provision of the Indoor Stadiums.
• Ensure the correct information is provided to members of the public and other Council Officers relating to the Indoor Stadiums.
• Maintain confidentiality on appropriate matters and adhere to Council's policies.
