Job summary

The Shepherd Centre is seeking an experienced Individual Giving Manager for a 10-month part-time contract based at Newtown. You will drive income through Direct Marketing, Regular Giving, and supporter experience, leading a small team and managing vendor relationships.

You will implement multichannel campaigns across mail, telemarketing, email, SMS, social, and online, with a focus on donor retention and acquisition. Flexible 3–4 days per week, hybrid working options may apply.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years' experience in a fundraising role.
  • Experience in implementing multichannel direct marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships e.g. mail houses and agencies.
  • CRM database experience, Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to acquire and retain supporters, driving growth across Direct Marketing and Regular Giving channels.
  • Achieve income targets through strategic campaign planning and execution.
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of Direct Marketing acquisition and retention campaigns.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of the Regular Giving lifecycle, ensuring donor engagement and retention.
  • Manage high-level relationships with various vendors.
  • Execute donor care strategies that cultivate strong and lasting relationships with supporters.
  • Develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing Individual Giving team while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Build and manage high-level relationships with external vendors to ensure campaign success.
  • Oversee the management and tracking of Individual Giving income and expense budgets.
  • Analyse and report on campaign performance, preparing post-campaign evaluations with actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

TSC currently supports over 900 families all over Australia, providing in-person and online support from 10 locations across NSW, ACT, Queensland and Tasmania. Our global platform HearHub, supports health professionals working with children with hearing loss all over the world.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Individual Giving Manager to join us on a 10-month contract, based at our Newtown office. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, this role plays a pivotal part in driving income through key programs, including Direct Marketing, Regular Giving, and Supporter Experience.

This dynamic role involves developing and executing multi-channel campaigns across platforms such as direct mail, telemarketing, email, SMS, social media, and online. With a strong focus on growth, the position requires implementing effective retention and acquisition strategies while managing high-level vendor relationships and leading a direct report (Individual Giving Coordinator).

This is a temporary part-time (3 or 4 days per week), 10-month contract opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual ready to make a meaningful impact. Hours can be worked flexibly across 5 days to suit the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
