The University of Western Australia is seeking to appoint an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Support role within the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous (DVCI). The position focuses on providing culturally appropriate support, pastoral care and academic assistance to Indigenous students to navigate university life and achieve educational goals.

Responsibilities include coordinating engagement programs, scholarship support and tutoring, and building strong relationships

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and understanding Indigenous student success.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities to manage programs and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Provide culturally appropriate support, advice, pastoral care and academic assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
• Coordinate and deliver student engagement programs, scholarship support and tutoring initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with students, community organisations and internal stakeholders.
