Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking an Indigenous Outreach professional to coordinate outreach, engagement and recruitment for prospective Indigenous students across Western Australia.

You will build strong partnerships with schools, communities and university stakeholders to promote Indigenous participation and provide pathway guidance, scholarships and entry options. This full-time role is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students or communities.
• Ability to engage with Aboriginal peoples, community organisations and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of WA education system and Indigenous higher education pathways.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication with a customer service focus.
• Ability to work independently and with strong organisational and digital literacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver outreach and recruitment activities for prospective Indigenous students, including school visits and regional travel.
• Build relationships with schools, communities and stakeholders to support Indigenous participation in higher education.
• Provide advice and admin support on scholarships, accommodation, ABSTUDY and entry options.
