The Indigenous Student Advising Team helps students navigate study life, overcome challenges and achieve academic and personal goals.

As an Indigenous Student Advising Specialist, you will provide tailored support, communicate sensitively, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with across-campus teams to improve student

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultures and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
• Proficiency in information systems and Microsoft software applications.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills with an understanding of culturally diverse communities.
• Strong time management, organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Degree-level study or Diploma with experience or equivalent blend of education and practical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised and holistic support to Indigenous students across all study stages.
• Collaborate with University staff to address student needs and access services.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to service improvements for student engagement.
