Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a dedicated Student Experience Officer (Identified) to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with frontline advisory and outreach across campuses.

You will work with Peer Learning Advisors, deliver culturally responsive guidance, organize cultural programs and events, and help students access information resources and IT environments while fostering belonging.

Qualifications

• Hold relevant tertiary qualifications with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
• Hold a current NSW Working With Children Check.
• Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
• Experience in frontline, client-focused service or support roles, preferably in education, library, IT or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frontline, client-focused student support services.
• Provide culturally responsive guidance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and Indigenous initiatives.
• Support Peer Learning Advisors to deliver high-quality student support and training.
• Plan and deliver cultural programs, events and activities to foster connection and engagement.
• Assist students with access to information resources and technology environments, including troubleshooting routine issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and a positive student experience.
