Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Student Experience Officer (Identified) to provide frontline, client-focused support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across campus and online. The role emphasizes culturally responsive guidance, Indigenous student initiatives, and collaboration with Peer Learning Advisors.

You will help deliver cultural programs, support events, and build cross-disciplinary networks to enhance belonging and engagement within the coursework and research

Qualifications

• Hold relevant tertiary qualifications with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education/training.
• Ability to build empathetic and meaningful connections with students.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, client-focused frontline, student support services.
• Provide empathetic and culturally responsive advice and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
• Support Peer Learning Advisors to deliver high-quality student support and training.
• Plan and deliver cultural programs and events that foster student connection and engagement.
• Assist students with access to information resources and technology environments.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and a positive student experience.
