Job summary

All Saints Primary in Tumbarumba seeks an Aboriginal School and Community Educator to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children within a welcoming school community. The role is permanent, part-time (0.18 FTE), based at All Saints’ Tumbarumba, commencing ASAP and requiring active engagement with Elders and local organisations.

The educator will support learning, pastoral and spiritual wellbeing, working closely with staff, families and the broader Wiradjuri/Yorta Yorta

Qualifications

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and engage with Elders and local community organisations.
• Strong communication skills across diverse settings.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Aboriginal families, school personnel and community Elders.
• Support learning, pastoral care and spiritual wellbeing of Aboriginal students and families.
• Build partnerships with local Aboriginal organisations to support the school community.
