Job summary

Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) in Sydney seeks an EL1 Performance Reporting Manager, Business Unit, to lead corporate and performance reporting, oversee the reporting calendar, and prepare briefs for senior committees and Parliament.

The role focuses on applying governance frameworks, analysing performance data, and driving continuous improvement in reporting across the agency.

Qualifications

• Experience developing corporate reports (corporate plans, annual reports, PBS) for government entities.
• Knowledge of Australian Government reporting requirements under PGPA Act 2013 or equivalent.
• Experience implementing organisation-wide reporting/frameworks and project management frameworks.
• Ability to analyse outcomes, trends, and risks to provide strategic advice to senior management.
• Excellent writing skills for diverse audiences and formats.
• Proven stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship-building with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of corporate and organisational reports (corporate plan, annual report, PBS) and analyse performance results.
• Manage reporting calendar and ensure timely statutory, governance and executive reporting.
• Develop briefs for Board, Audit and Risk Committee, Executives and Parliament (Senate Estimates briefs) and ensure timely submission.
• Oversee performance reporting framework, integrating project management and performance information.
• Monitor progress against strategic priorities and PBS performance measures; provide analysis and mitigation recommendations.
• Improve reporting and governance processes, materials and guidance; ensure accuracy and usefulness for decision-making.
• Provide strategic advice on organisational performance and reporting obligations to Directors and Executives.
• Build relationships with Commonwealth entities and internal stakeholders; represent the Commission.
