Job summary

EL1 Program Reporting Specialist is sought to support a large-scale transformation in Canberra. The role consolidates program reporting, governance information, and performance monitoring across multiple workstreams and releases.

You will develop reporting frameworks, dashboards and scorecards, monitor delivery against plans, and provide executive-ready materials to inform governance decisions with senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering program, PMO or portfolio reporting within large and complex government programs.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, governance reporting and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting complex delivery information, risks, dependencies and performance data.
  • Experience preparing reporting products, briefing materials and presentations for senior executive governance forums.
  • Experience operating within highly regulated government environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, DevOps, Power BI and Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholder groups and gather reporting inputs across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience working within large-scale transformation, reform or regulatory change programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and enhance integrated program reporting frameworks, templates and standards.
  • Coordinate collection, validation and consolidation of reporting inputs from multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate and timely weekly, fortnightly, monthly and ad hoc program reports.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, performance scorecards and reporting products.
  • Monitor delivery performance against approved plans, milestones, schedules and program objectives.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, issues, interdependencies and emerging delivery concerns.
  • Support executive governance forums through preparation of reports, briefing papers and presentations.
  • Maintain reporting on program risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions.
  • Support benefits management activities through monitoring and reporting of program outcomes and performance indicators.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure reporting reflects current program status and progress.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of integrated delivery schedules, roadmaps and milestone reporting.
  • Support assurance activities, reviews, audits and gateway assessments through providing reporting and evidence.
  • Ensure reporting products comply with program governance frameworks, reporting standards and quality requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication of program performance information to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, tools and automation capabilities.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of reporting solutions, dashboards and data visualisation tools.
  • Contribute to the establishment of PMO reporting capabilities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the program in governance, planning and reporting forums as required.
  • Undertake other duties consistent with the classification and responsibilities of the role.

Description:

Our client is seeking an EL1 Program Reporting Specialist to support the delivery of a complex, large-scale transformation program. The role is responsible for establishing, coordinating and maintaining integrated program reporting, performance monitoring and governance information across multiple workstreams and releases.

The Program Reporting Specialist will consolidate complex delivery, business, regulatory and technology information into clear, accurate and timely reporting products. Working closely with program leadership, the Program Management Office (PMO), delivery teams and stakeholders, the role will provide visibility of program performance, risks, dependencies, milestones and delivery outcomes to support effective governance and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and enhance integrated program reporting frameworks, templates and standards.

  • Advanced proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, DevOps, Power BI and Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholder groups and gather reporting inputs across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience working within large-scale transformation, reform or regulatory change programs.
  • Experience supporting projects or programs delivered using Agile, SAFe or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Qualifications or certifications in Project Management, Program Management or PMO disciplines (PRINCE2, MSP, PMBOK or equivalent).
  • Experience developing automated reporting solutions and data visualisation capabilities.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management, Information Management, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
