Job summary

Nunkuwarrin Yunti invites a driven RN3 to lead multidisciplinary clinical teams across General Clinic, Dental and related services, ensuring safe, culturally responsive care and strong governance. You’ll mentor staff, drive quality improvement, and align service delivery with accreditation requirements within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health principles.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated understanding of health, social and cultural issues affecting Indigenous peoples, and commitment to cultural safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and stakeholders.
• Advanced clinical knowledge in primary health care and multidisciplinary models of care.
• Clinical leadership with evidence-informed practice and governance principles.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and workforce capability development.
• Experience with quality improvement, accreditation, risk management and CQI processes.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, infection prevention and control, patient safety and compliance.
• Ability to analyze service data and use it for planning and improvement.
• Experience with EHR systems such as Communicare, Medical Director or Best Practice.
• Knowledge of Medicare/MBS in a primary health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical leadership and day-to-day management across General Clinic, Dental and related services.
• Coordinate safe, culturally responsive care within RN3 scope.
• Lead implementation of governance, quality, risk and accreditation readiness.
• Oversee workforce planning, rostering, workload allocation and service priorities.
• Supervise and develop Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and allied staff.
• Contribute to policy development, clinical guidelines and models of care.
• Monitor performance, recalls, KPIs and program deliverables.
• Represent the service in forums to strengthen integrated care and partnerships.
• Ensure professional nursing standards and scope of practice are upheld.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and orientation for clinical staff.
• Contribute to budget, resource planning and procurement within delegated authority.
• Lead change management, service redesign and improvement initiatives.
