Job summary

Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation in Singleton NSW is seeking a part-time Practice Nurse to provide supportive clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team serving the local Aboriginal community. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:30am–5pm, with duties including general health screening, ECG and minor procedures, and coordinating care plans with clinic GPs.

Current RN registration with AHPRA is required; experience with Best Practice software is desirable; confidentiality and patient-centred

Qualifications

Current RN registration with AHPRA.
Understanding of health issues in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Experience with Best Practice software is desirable.
Effective organisational and time management skills.
Demonstrate patient-focused approach with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

General health screening and assessment.
First aid assistance with emergency procedures.
Coordinate with GPs to prepare health management and care plans.
Coordinate clients within the multidisciplinary health team and feedback with services, patients and GP.
Maintain client clinical records and comply with statutory obligations.
Assist with ECG and minor procedures and wound care.
