The Restorative Justice Unit in Canberra, ACT Government, is seeking an Indigenous Guidance Partner (IGP) to provide culturally sensitive support to people in the justice system who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The role focuses on guiding First Nations clients through the justice process, ensuring they feel respected and understood throughout.

Details: The Restorative Justice Unit is looking for a person to work with us as an Indigenous Guidance Partner. An IGP offers culturally sensitive support to people in the justice system who identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island origin.
Our commitment is for clients of RJU to experience a justice process that is more respectful and sensitive to the needs of First Nations people involved in the justice system and affected by crime.
The goal is to assist First Nations clients to feel confident and ready to participate in an RJ conference, by taking the journey with them and walking alongside.
