Job summary

Moreton ATSICHS seeks a Wellbeing Support Worker to assist clients in navigating health and social services in the Moreton Bay region. The role includes liaising with community stakeholders and supporting Indigenous clients in managing mental health, AOD, and wellbeing needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will promote clinic services at community events and help individuals, families, and staff align with individual care plans and available support options.

Qualifications

• Current Criminal History Check.
• Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
• Current Working with Children’s Check (Qld Blue Card).
• Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, Mental Health or Community Services, or equivalent experience.
• Experience engaging with community groups and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Support the Social Health team to assist clients in accessing health and non-health services in the Moreton Bay region.
• Liaise with local stakeholders and identify barriers to access.
• Provide practical assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to manage mental health, AOD, and social and emotional wellbeing needs.
• Promote MATSICHS clinics at events within the North Brisbane catchment area.

Education

Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, Mental Health or Community Services

Equivalent experience in community services
