Job summary

Indigenous Carbon Industry Network (ICIN) is seeking a Deputy CEO to support the CEO in leading ICIN's operations and member-facing activities. The role involves coordinating staff, overseeing financial management and ensuring governance processes align with ICIN policies.

The Deputy CEO will work with Directors, Members and Partners to represent the Indigenous carbon industry at national events, manage risk, and advance the strategic plan while supporting succession planning for the CEO role.

Qualifications

• Degree or enrolled undergraduate in a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in a governance or charitable organisation.
• Strong communications and networking abilities.
• Experience in managing staff and contractors.
• Understanding of governance, reporting requirements and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the CEO to oversee operational management and staff including recruitment and performance management.
• Represent ICIN at national events and meetings with Directors and Members.
• Provide regular board reports on risks, opportunities and progress of the Work Plan.
• Assist with annual budget preparation, financial oversight and payroll processes.
• Coordinate the Annual General Meeting and elections.
• Foster relationships with Members, Funders and Partners and communicate work plan updates.
• Support succession planning for the CEO role and strategic plan implementation.
