Job summary

Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation is seeking an Assistant in Nursing at Georgina Aged Care in Lota, QLD. Multiple roles available: casual and permanent part-time across all shifts.

You will provide compassionate, person-centred care in a culturally safe environment for Elders and residents. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team and families, adherence to care plans, and upholding dignity and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience as an AIN in residential aged care preferred but not essential.
• Display a person-centred approach to care and supervision.
• High level of understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, culturally safe care to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living in accordance with care plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, residents, families and carers to support wellbeing.
