Job summary

Interact Australia is seeking an Employment Consultant to support participants in the Inclusive Employment Australia program by identifying opportunities and securing placements. The role focuses on sustainable employment outcomes through proactive engagement with local employers and tailored employment plans.

The position requires visiting multiple office locations across the Nepean area and travel to meet participant needs, with flexible hours and travel as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with jobseekers to understand their goals, skills, and support needs.
• Developing tailored employment plans and provide pre-employment preparation.
• Partnering with employers to identify inclusive opportunities and place candidates into meaningful roles.
• Building strong relationships with community organisations and stakeholders.
• Providing ongoing post-placement support to both employees and employers.
• Addressing workplace adjustments, mentoring, and training needs to ensure success.
• Monitoring progress and intervening early to overcome barriers to retention.
• Maintaining accurate records and compliance with IEA program requirements.
