Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education's St John Fisher College in Bracken Ridge invites a dedicated Title Support Teacher (Inclusive Education) to support secondary girls with diverse learning needs.

You will design learner-centered programs, collaborate with the leadership team, and implement evidence-based inclusive practices to achieve outstanding student outcomes while aligning with curriculum standards and NCCD timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience applying inclusive education practices to diverse learner needs.
• Ability to adapt curricula to individual student requirements while meeting standards.
• Strong understanding of NCCD timeliness and reporting requirements.
• Effective classroom management to support a nurturing learning environment.
• Ability to engage with families and the wider community to support student learning.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices relating to students with a disability.
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality inclusive education practices, curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community.
• Implementing effective, adaptive, inclusive and equitable practices and teaching strategies.
• Oversee the development of Personalised Support Plans which clearly outline adjustment requirements in language discernible by teachers and comply with all evidence requirements for NCCD timelines.
• Proactively and collaboratively engaging in professional renewal practices to enhance student outcomes.
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school.
• Providing effective supervision of students.
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
• Encouraging the involvement of the school and students in the life of the church.
• Engaging the wider community in learning and teaching programs
• Supporting the school in special events and celebrations.
