Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education's St Patrick's Primary School, Gympie, seeks a Title Support Teacher: Inclusive Education to support students with disabilities and lead inclusive practices.

You will collaborate with staff to design tailored programs, monitor progress, and report to families, contributing to a faith‑based, student‑centred learning environment. This 18-hour per week fixed-term role runs through the 2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with disabilities in primary settings.
• Ability to implement inclusive teaching practices.
• Current registration with relevant teaching authority.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment aligned with policies for students with disabilities.
• Collaboratively develop and implement inclusive education practices and assess/report student progress to families and community.
• Implement adaptive, inclusive teaching strategies.
• Oversee development of Personalised Support Plans with clear adjustments and evidence for NCCD timelines.
• Engage in professional renewal to enhance student outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership, teachers, and staff in the life of the school.
• Provide effective supervision of students.
• Foster pastoral care relationships and spiritual development within the school community.
• Engage the wider community in learning and teaching programs.
• Support the school in special events and celebrations.
