Beechworth Health Service is seeking an Activity Officer to work with the Club Connections Coordinator to deliver a meaningful, inclusive activities program that supports clients to maximise independence and wellbeing.

The role focuses on person-centred care, collaborative relationships with clients, families and carers, and partnerships with other service providers to tailor activities to individual goals and preferences.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent preferred.
• Certificate III in Home Care/Aged Care
• NDIS worker screening check
• Prior experience with adults with cognitive impairment and their carers
• Previous experience with aged and/or disabled persons
• Previous experience using UNITI software.
• Food safety handling certificate.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with the Club Connections Coordinator to implement a meaningful and inclusive activities program for clients.
• Support clients to maximise independence, build capacity and wellbeing.
• Engage with clients’ families, carers, support workers and service providers to foster relationships.
• Create opportunities for activities reflecting clients’ interests, goals and support needs.

Connaissances

Cognitive impairment experience

Experience with aged/disabled persons
