Job summary

Young Academics Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced Inclusion Support Educator to join our Woodcroft service. You will support children with additional needs, work with families and educators to implement inclusive practices, and uphold child safety across our learning environment.

This is a fixed-term, part-time role with 15 hours per week (Monday 5 hours, Thursday 10 hours). YAE is committed to professional development, competitive benefits, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs in an early learning setting.
• Solid knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Commitment to child safety and inclusive practices in all activities.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates are required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with educators and families to implement individualised support plans.
• Guide educators in inclusive practices so all children can engage meaningfully.
• Source and use specialist equipment to support inclusion per program guidelines.
• Promote inclusion awareness within the broader community.
• Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements.

Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking an experienced Inclusion Support Educator (ISS) to join our Woodcroft Service.

About The Role

As an Inclusion Support Early Childhood Educator, you will play an important role in supporting the inclusion of all children, including those with additional needs, within our early learning environments. You will work collaboratively with educators and families to create supportive, engaging, and equitable learning opportunities where every child feels valued and can thrive. As a service, compliance and child safety remain our highest priority, and you will be expected to uphold our child-safe practices in all aspects of your role.

This role is a fixed-term contract Monday 5hours, Thursday 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Work with educators, families, and specialists to implement individualised support plans for children with additional needs.
• Provide guidance and support to educators in adopting inclusive practices, ensuring all children can engage meaningfully in the learning environment.
• Assist in sourcing and utilising specialist equipment and resources to facilitate inclusion, in line with the Inclusion Support Program guidelines.
• Promote understanding and awareness of inclusion within the broader community, advocating for the rights and needs of all children.
• Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in supporting children with additional needs.
• Hold an ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Preferred) or Certificate III in Education Support.
• Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate.
• Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check.t
• Knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
• Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices.
• Maintain Mandatory National Child Safety Training.
