Job summary

Young Academics Early Learning Centre in Mortdale, NSW, seeks an experienced Inclusion Support Educator to help include all children, including those with additional needs, in our childcare environments. You will collaborate with educators and families to implement individualized support plans and uphold child-safe practices.

This is a fixed-term contract with two shift options per day, requiring ACECQA-approved ECEC qualifications, current First Aid/CPR, NSW WWCC, and knowledge of EYLF and NQS

Job description

Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking an experienced Inclusion Support Educator (ISS) to join our Mortdale Service.

About The Role

As an Inclusion Support Early Childhood Educator, you will play an important role in supporting the inclusion of all children, including those with additional needs, within our early learning environments. You will work collaboratively with educators and families to create supportive, engaging, and equitable learning opportunities where every child feels valued and can thrive. As a service, compliance and child safety remain our highest priority, and you will be expected to uphold our child-safe practices in all aspects of your role.

This role is a fixed-term contract.

Option of 2 shift times per day

Monday: 7:30am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-5:30pm

Tuesday: 7am-2pm or 11am-6pm

Wednesday:7am-2pm or 11am-6pm

Thursday: 7:30am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-5:30pm

Friday: 7am-2pm or 11am-6pm

Must be able to work all 5 days in one of the two options of shift times.

Responsibilities

Work with educators, families, and specialists to implement individualised support plans for children with additional needs.

• Provide guidance and support to educators in adopting inclusive practices, ensuring all children can engage meaningfully in the learning environment.
• Assist in sourcing and utilising specialist equipment and resources to facilitate inclusion, in line with the Inclusion Support Program guidelines.
• Promote understanding and awareness of inclusion within the broader community, advocating for the rights and needs of all children.
• Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in supporting children with additional needs.
• Hold an ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate.
• Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
• Knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
• Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices.
• Maintain Mandatory National Child Safety Training.
