Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an Incident Management Engineer to lead incident response for critical workloads. You will manage communications, engage with customers and internal teams, and drive issue resolution across engineering and support functions.

The role requires strong leadership, 3+ years in major incident management, and the ability to operate in a global, follow-the-sun model with AEST core hours and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years major incident/problem management in mission-critical environments.
• 5+ years in Support/Network/solutions roles or similar IT functions.

Responsibilities

• Drive resolution of large-scale customer impacting incidents as part of a team rotation.
• Lead critical, complex customer escalations with engineering teams.
• Provide incident response/management including leading calls with participants.
• Monitor customer metrics and communicate during high-impact events.
• Collaborate across AWS to improve customer experience and drive operational excellence.
