Hardware & General in Brookvale is seeking a reliable In-Store Sales Representative to assist customers, provide product recommendations and process sales for guttering and roofing solutions. This full-time role offers opportunities to develop product knowledge within the building and trade supplies sector.

The ideal candidate has experience in retail or customer service, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn technical specifications.

About the Opportunity

We have a full-time opportunity available in our Brookvale Guttering & Roofing team. We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused team player who enjoys helping customers, building relationships and learning about products within the building and trade supply industry.

Previous experience in retail, sales or customer service is preferred. Experience in guttering, roofing or building supplies will be highly regarded, along with a willingness to develop product knowledge and technical understanding.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting customers with product enquiries and recommending suitable guttering and roofing solutions.
• Processing sales, preparing quotes and managing customer orders and returns.
• Building positive customer relationships and identifying sales opportunities.
• Working closely with external sales representatives and internal teams to meet customer needs.
• Supporting order coordination, scheduling and day-to-day store operations.
• Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues where possible.
• Maintaining stock, showroom presentation and a safe, tidy working environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous retail, in-store sales or customer service experience preferred but not essential
• Experience in roofing, guttering or building supplies will be highly regarded.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to process sales and quotes.
