Elecnor, a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure, seeks an In-House Legal Counsel in Sydney to provide commercially focused legal advice on project contracts and tenders. You will draft and negotiate contracts, manage legal risk, and ensure compliance with construction laws while aligning legal processes with commercial objectives.

The role emphasizes front-end negotiations, working with project teams, and coordinating with external counsel.

Competenze

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or JD required and admission to practice.
2–3 years PQE ideally in-house within construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
Experience managing external counsel and legal budgets.

Mansioni

Provide practical, business-minded legal advice to project teams, estimators, and management during tender and procurement phases.
Advise on mitigating legal risks, optimise contract terms and align project strategies with legal considerations.
Identify and evaluate legal risks in construction operations and new ventures.
Create briefing documents and summaries of complex contract terms for non-legal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with construction regulations, security of payment legislation and internal policies.
Guide internal teams on contract administration and dispute avoidance.
