Job summary

QIX Consulting Group is seeking an Assistant Accountant – Corporate Finance to join their Melbourne team in an in‑house finance function. The role covers AR, AP, payroll, reconciliations and reporting, offering broad exposure beyond traditional public practice.

The position features a competitive AUD 100,000 package inclusive of super, with an immediate start. CA/CPA not required; ideal for a detail‑oriented professional seeking ownership of core processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Several years of accounting experience across AR, AP, payroll, reconciliations and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Xero and Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks, MYOB or Fathom is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and debtor management.
• Handle accounts payable and supplier payments.
• Prepare monthly payroll and bank reconciliations.
• Complete month-end reconciliations and reporting for internal entities.
