Job summary

UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families – Torquay QLD is seeking a Personal Carer for BlueCare Community Care to support clients at home across Hervey Bay and surrounds. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meal prep and personal care on a part-time weekend/evening basis.

Role requires Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent, a current Australian driver’s licence, and a roadworthy vehicle.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

Responsibilities

• Provide care to clients living in the community, supporting independence and improving quality of life
• Spend time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients
• In-home personal care: showering, daily living activities, meal prep, house cleaning, laundry
• Provide care per individual Care Plan and support with community activities
