Job summary

Hand in Hand Disability Support is seeking Disability Support Workers to assist participants across North Brisbane. You will provide personal care, medication help, and community access in a 24-hour care environment.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III/IV in Disability or Community Services and at least 1 year of experience, with CPR/First Aid, Blue Card, NDIS checks, and a valid driver’s license. Training and career progression are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Disability or Community Services and at least 1 year of disability support experience.
• Current CPR / First Aid certification is required.
• Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check are required.
• Australian Driver's License with a reliable insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: showering, dressing and grooming.
• Medication assistance and monitoring as directed.
• Support participants with behaviours and following a Positive Behaviour Support Plan.
• Provide high intensity supports as trained (PEG, vents, or complex care).
• Domestic tasks: light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation.
• Community access: social activities and shopping.
• Assist with appointments and transport as needed.
• Support with mobility aids and equipment use.
• Monitor wellbeing and document progress, attend required training.
