Job summary

Ozcare Cairns Aged Care at Home Branch is seeking part-time Care Assistants to support clients across the Atherton area. You will provide compassionate in-home care, assist with daily activities, and help clients maintain independence, following individual care plans.

Ideal candidates are empathetic, reliable, with a positive attitude, and flexible to rosters. Benefits include salary packaging, uniform allowance, travel reimbursements, and a mobile phone.

Qualifications

• Current Police Screening Certificate.
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care.
• A reliable roadworthy vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance.
• Current Queensland driver’s licence.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
• Proof of immunity or willingness to be vaccinated against MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella and Pertussis.

Responsibilities

• Provide best possible care and support to clients according to personalised care plans.
• Assist clients to develop skills to enhance independence.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as showering and dressing.
• Help with medication administration as required.
• Work as part of a care team with a holistic approach to client wellbeing.
