Job summary

Department of Education Victoria is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to contribute to Thriving Kids, a new model delivering allied health and family support to children aged 0–8 across Victoria. You will assess, advise and support families to enhance daily participation and development in home, early childhood and school settings.

Qualifications

• Registration eligibility as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with child development and early intervention.
• Experience with children aged 0-8 and families.
• Ability to apply evidence-informed assessment and intervention.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with families and services.

Responsibilities

• Apply clinical expertise to early intervention and provide tailored OT assessment, intervention and advice for each child and family.
• Collaborate with families to build parents' and carers' knowledge and confidence for everyday activities.
• Focus on participation and inclusion in home, early childhood and school settings.
• Think creatively about delivering support across home, early childhood and school environments.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate responses with other allied health and Thriving Kids roles.
