Job summary

Wyndham Park Primary School in Victoria is seeking a classroom teacher to deliver high-quality instruction across Foundation to Year 6, with a strong emphasis on explicit teaching, literacy and numeracy. Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum with ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience in responding to diverse student learning needs.
• Experience in planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating student learning growth.
• Experience in monitoring and using data to inform teaching and providing feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with school community.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals; contribute to curriculum development and evaluation; undertake related classroom duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in policy development and school improvement initiatives aligned with the school’s strategic plan.
• Supervise and train student teachers as part of teacher development.
• Use student data to inform teaching approaches and monitor progress to meet targets for student learning outcomes.
