Job summary

Lyndhurst Primary School in Melbourne’s outer-south-eastern suburb Lyndhurst is seeking a classroom teacher to plan, prepare and deliver engaging programs across year levels (Range 1 and Range 2). You will contribute to school improvement and use data to inform teaching.

This role emphasises high quality instruction, collaboration with staff, families and the wider school community, and alignment with Department values and expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education required and teacher registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum including literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning for high‑impact teaching and evaluating learning growth.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build partnerships with students, families and the school community.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve targeted student outcomes.
• Develop, implement and evaluate curricula and teaching programs.
• Analyse student data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Contribute to school policies, professional learning and school improvement priorities.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers where appropriate.
