Job summary

The Benevolent Society in New South Wales is seeking a dedicated Families Together Child & Family Practitioner on a 12-month contract based in Hurtsville. The role offers a salary of AUD 85,000–AUD 100,000 plus Super and Salary Packaging, with flexible hybrid work options and leadership training opportunities.

You will provide home-based intervention, assess family needs, and coordinate supports while maintaining thorough documentation and advocating for families.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or related field.
• Experience delivering intensive casework with vulnerable children and families.
• Sound understanding of trauma-informed practice, child safety and risk assessment.
• Strong communication and engagement with families and service partners.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence and NSW Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based intervention with regular family visits.
• Assess strengths, needs and risks, and develop family-led plans.
• Deliver practical and evidence-informed interventions and advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with families and partners.
