Job summary

Community Solutions in Preston, VIC is seeking a compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to work with individuals, families and support networks to implement Positive Behaviour Support plans that promote safety, choice and independence.

You will conduct functional behaviour assessments, develop evidence-based strategies and collaborate with families, support workers and allied health professionals while building the capacity of teams through coaching.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Developmental Education or related field.
• Registration as Core Practitioner preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing PBS plans in complex settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong IT, admin and organisation skills due to billable time.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to drive; NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence-based strategies.
• Complete Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support plans.
• Collaborate with families, support workers, and allied health professionals.
• Build the capacity of support teams through coaching and mentoring.
