Job summary

The Country Care Group (CCG) is hiring two Associate AI & Software Engineers to join our Melbourne team at Queens Road, working on CCG Connect. You’ll contribute to AI-enabled software across frontend, APIs, backend and data layers, with a focus on system integrations and data quality.

You’ll use AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery while upholding quality and security, collaborate with stakeholders, and help shape practical, scalable solutions for real-world care operations.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience building and supporting production applications.
• Experience developing APIs and backend services using Node.js, Python or similar technologies.
• Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases; cloud platform experience (Azure) and AI coding assistants.

Responsibilities

• Develop features across frontend, APIs, backend and data layers.
• Build reliable integrations with key systems and services.
• Design AI-enabled solutions: document extraction, intelligent search, summarisation and staff assistants.
• Utilise AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development while ensuring code quality and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into testable solutions.
• Prepare, clean and validate data to support accurate processes and reporting.
• Test, deploy and support applications across DEV, TEST and PROD environments.
• Maintain code quality, documentation and release notes.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve customer and staff experience.
