Job summary

YWCA Canberra Children Services in Canberra is seeking a School Age Care Coordinator and Educational Leader to lead a dedicated team of educators, crafting innovative programs and nurturing environments where every child can thrive.

You will receive support from a specialised central team including an Operations Director and Quality & Compliance team. A Diploma of Education and Care (ACECQA approved) and strong leadership are essential, with checks and registrations as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Education and Care (ACECQA approved) is required.
• Understanding of diverse needs, including varying abilities.
• Experience with children requiring specialised care is advantageous.
• Thorough understanding of NQF, Regulations, NQ Standards, My Time Our Place 2.0.
• Exceptional leadership and teamwork skills.
• Full driver's license and access to a vehicle preferred.
• Working with Vulnerable People Registration (ACT) or willingness to obtain.
• Australian Citizenship or eligibility to work in Australia.
• Satisfactory Police Check and First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of educators, crafting innovative programs and nurturing environments for children to thrive.
• Provide support from a central Operations/Quality team to assist you in your role.
• Ensure compliance with National Quality Framework and Regulations in daily practice.
