Australian Department of Home Affairs – Queensland is seeking a Supervisor for Immigration Compliance Operations within the Field Operations and Sponsor Monitoring (FOSM) branch. You will support immigration compliance by interpreting legislation, directing enforcement actions, and managing case-loads in a high-pressure environment across regional operations.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the Migration Act 1958 (Cth) and associated legislation/regulations.
Strong work ethic and high degree of determination, adaptability and professionalism.
Ability to contribute to high performing teams in a complex legislative environment under pressure and changing priorities.

Responsabilités

Interpret and apply legislation and powers under the Migration Act 1958 to support immigration compliance.
Direct or perform as delegate under the Migration Act 1958 in exercising powers to detain non-citizens.
Manage a case-load of persons of interest within the community and prison network.
Exercise delegations and statutory powers under the Migration Act 1958 to detain UNCs and grant, cancel or refuse visas.
Supervise operational teams in the execution of enforcement activity.
