Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking an ILS Systems Engineer to join the JP9101 program, supporting the Defence High Frequency Communications System and its enhanced capability. You will apply systems engineering to ensure through-life effectiveness, working across requirements management, verification, interface control and documentation.

Qualifications

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or recognised engineering qualifications that support eligibility for Professional Engineer membership.
• At least two years’ experience in a technical or engineering environment.
• Experience in requirements management will be highly regarded.
• Understanding of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) principles and how sustainable support systems contribute to capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements management, verification and validation, interface management, engineering change and technical documentation for the program.
• Conduct technical investigations and risk assessments and develop engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with ILS specialists, engineers, program teams and customers; provide engineering advice and ensure records are accurate and maintained.
• Contribute to technical reviews and document recommendations and solutions; support through-life capability.
